It’s been a minute since I have done anything with this site so I am thinking of possibly repurposing it or redesigning it, but I have limited time for this so it may be constantly under construction so going up and down for the time being.
Update
Right to Repair
I just signed a petition that I believe in and can’t imagine why anyone would not believe in it as well. Unless of course you are a company who just wants you to buy new stuff instead of fixing your broken things or upgrading your device so they can make profit and contribute to e-waste. I just repaired a Surface Pro 4 by replacing the screen and battery and its an awesome machine that I will use into the future. It would have been trashed if I hadn’t saved it. I think we need to use the things we have to their fullest.
I’m still here
Its been since April since I have updated this site but I am going to start trying to keep up with it again.
What I am up to currently…
Work has been crazy lately and obviously this takes priority.
School is also a thing I am still contending with. This takes time out of my week but I am nearly half way done. Soon I will be a scientist!
I have been making new videos on my YouTube channel. I am trying to build an audience so If you watch any of them make sure to like and subscribe.
Future Plans and Projects
I am currently working on learning Japanese for my trip to Japan in mid February 2020. It’s a difficult language to master but I am improving daily.
In addition to learning the language for my trip I also need to get in shape so I can get naked for the onsen. I don’t want to be the fat American.
I am working on my gaming backlog which I have over 700 games needing to be finished. I have decided that anytime I play a game I need to live stream it. This kills 2 birds with one stone as it give me more videos for my channel as well as cutting into my backlog.
I am also working on modding my gaming consoles and filming the process of this. Basically I am going to thrift shops and picking up old consoles to mod and repair. I plan I making a complete set of consoles that are modded and put them in transparent shells (Which are hard to find)
I plan on continuing my Windows PC series which will include Windows 3.11, 95, 98, ME, XP, Vista, 7, and 8.1. I plan I testing software and benchmarks of games etc. I finally have a way to record video from VGA so this can continue.
In Conclusion
I will slowly be building this website with other videos and posts about things I do and discover. Hopefully this site will eventually be helpful to someone in the future. But mostly I like having this site to keep a journal of cool things. Stay tuned for more content!
New Tutorial on Enabling HTTPS on Tiny Tiny RSS
I have just completed a new tutorial on enabling HTTPS on the Tiny Tiny RSS Server we built but the principals should work on any HTTPS site you want to enable SSL on. Here is the Link to the page
I’m Still Here!
It has been a minute since my last post or video. I have been busy with work among other things. I will be making a new video here shortly, it should be complete by the end of the week.
Almost Ready to Continue with the Mercury PC
I am acquiring the parts and devices I need to continue setting up the Mercury Windows 3.11 / DOS pc and will continue filming soon. I ran into some issues so I had to order some things that I will go over in the next video. Stay tuned.
Getting Ready to Film First Video of 2019
Just setting up what I need to film video number one of 2019. This video will be a PC build of a Windows 3.11 / DOS 6.22 machine. This video series will consist of 8 computer builds and future testing. Since I have 8 to build I will be naming after the planets of the solar system starting with Mercury. Go to this page to see the specs and other details.
Hope to have this completed in a couple days.
A New Beginning
I have decided to start making YouTube videos again. This time instead of making an insurmountable amount of work trying to make a video every day I will be keeping it simple by making a video every few weeks. With school and work and a three year old daily videos are not a possibility. The plus side of doing fewer videos is that I should be able to improve the quality and the content.
So stay tuned and lets see if I can do it this time.
